Being in community doesn’t mean knowing exactly where we are going. It means making our way through those unknowns together, in circles of connection that widen out from the isolating brokenness that keeps us lonely and confused. If we are to heal our nation or our hearts, it’s not just blustering problem-solvers we need to help lead us, but people and institutions willing to find our way through thickets of uncertainty and along winding paths, knowing through it all that we are not alone.
