As an additional step in the Welcoming Congregation renewal process, Sunnyhill Interweave will present a workshop entitled “transaction,” which is described as a transgender curriculum for churches and religious institutions. The curriculum is designed to help churches address the issue of understanding and welcoming by providing step-by-step training about the needs, apprehensions and fears of transgender people, as well as the wealth of gifts and graces they bring, while responding to the concerns of the church or religious institution. The workshop was developed by the Institute for Welcoming Resources of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. Please join us for this insightful and searching workshop.
