South City Jazz has been playing Pittsburgh venues since 2005, showcasing the classic piano trio sounds of the 50’s and 60’s. The trio’s sound is rooted in the swinging tradition of Oscar Peterson, the contemplative classicism of Bill Evans, and the latin/calypso grooves of Sonny Rollins and Monty Alexander.
