Sundays at Sunnyhill
Rev. Jay Abernathy leading a Sunday Service
Our Sunday services are the focal point of our spiritual community. We gather in the Sunnyhill main room for inspiration, learning, friendship, and to share our individual joys and concerns.
Each service is unique. There are a wide variety of presentation styles and presenters. We offer a mix of minister-led services, presentations by Sunnyhill members, guest musicians, all-choir services, ministers from other churches, or invited guest speakers. To really get a feel for Sunnyhill, come several times.

The Gospel of Unitarianism: Truth and Reason
Led by Rev. Jay Abernathy
The Unitarians represented a more dramatic heresy: God is One. However, this would have been insufficient to cause much of a fuss if not for the ideas that human reason and an emphasis on human possibility were necessary parts of religion.

The Good News of Modern Religion: Freedom and Tolerance
Led by Rev. Jay Abernathy
The subtle change in title hints at the dramatic changes required of religion if it is to be meaningful in the modern world. The two values mentioned also define the modern secular world in which spiritual people now find themselves.
