Christmas Eve Services (10 a.m. & 5 p.m.)

Christmas Eve services:

10 a.m.: The Unitarians and Christmas. During the 19th century, Unitarians transformed Christmas from a minor holiday to a major cultural and religious event. Much of the music and many of our contemporary Christmas icons (including Santa Claus, Scrooge, Jingle Bells and more) came about because of the work of Unitarians who emphasized charity and a spirit of giving. What influence would we like to have on Christmas in the 21st century?

5 p.m.: Candlelight Service. This candlelight service will be an intergenerational, family-friendly event featuring music from our children, youth and others, as well as stories and a brief reenactment of the Nativity.
