Is Spiritways its own church? No, Spiritways is a CUUPs group (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) within The Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills (Sunnyhill) that provides a service to the Pagan Community within Sunnyhill and the surrounding community.
Do I have to be a member of Spiritways or Sunnyhill to attend? Our rituals, classes, and events are always open. You do not have to be a member of either to attend a Spiritways event.
Do I have to be a Pagan to attend a ritual? Our rituals, classes, and events are always open. You do not have to be a practicing Pagan to attend a Spiritways event. We encourage people from all spiritual backgrounds to join us, all we ask is that you come with open heart and open mind.
What should I wear to a ritual? Wear whatever makes your feel “magical” and comfortable—ritual clothing spans the range from jeans and a t-shirt to cloaks and crowns. In our ritual announcements we sometimes mention colors or items that may be appropriate for the holiday, but you are in no way obligated to wear that. Note: Spiritways does not practice “skyclad” (naked).
Who is the Leadership Team? The Leadership Team is comprised of 4 individuals experienced in the Craft, with very different paths giving a very well-rounded approach to Rituals and LifeCraft. For more information please check out our Meet The Leadership Team page.
What does the Leadership Team do? The members of the Leadership Team coordinate all of the rituals and day-to-day business for the group, develop and lead the LifeCraft curriculums, liaison with the church, network with other members in the Pagan community, maintain the web page and mailing list, mentor and provide guidance, to list just a few.
Do you have childcare on site? Not currently, however, the Leadership Team is exploring options for people to bring their younger children to rituals and have babysitting at Sunnyhill during the ritual.
Can I bring my child? Due to the powerful quality of rituals, children 12 and older only please, unless otherwise noted. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I bring my pet? We love our furry familiars, but due to the powerful quality of rituals, unless otherwise noted, we ask that you please leave them at home.
I’m interested in learning more about Paganism! I have lots of questions that aren’t on this page! You can find general information on CUUPs at http://www.cuups.org. For specific information on the Spiritways CUUPs group, please email the Leadership Team at Spritiways@gmail.com, and one of us will get back to you!
