Sunnyhill's Stained Glass Window

By 1983, the glass in the original front door window - a hunting scene - was bowed, and threatened to break at the slam of the door. We decided to replace it with something that better represented our faith.
The design was created by Tippi Comden, and approved by the board. Member Roy Eichele donated $200 to the church to pay for the creation of this window.
Tippi's design was taken to Mr. Lebanon glass artist Jim Kohl, who executed the design.
This is Tippi's explanation of the symbols included in the window: Two hands, one dark and one light, are cupped to form the shape of our chalice. Rising from the palms is our flame of truth. The light that beams outward from the chalice and flame form the shape of two birds, one looking backwards at our history, and the other, forwards to our future.
