Ever wonder who is behind each square in the Sunnyhill Quilts? Below you'll see pictures of each of our quilts, with a label underneath. By clicking on the label, you'll bring up an enlargement of the quilt selected. Click on each square. The name of the creator of that square will appear in the small window, along with the creator's story or explanation. The first three quilts were made in 1990 to celebrate the first 25 years of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills. All members and friends were invited to choose a packet of co-ordinated fabric pieces and make an 8-inch square. The theme might be the expression of what Sunnyhill meant to them, a family value, their interests, or just a pleasing design. In 1995 and every five years since, two more quilts have been created, celebrating anniversaries of our Church and reflecting new members and ministers. |
