Tucked in the front corner of the main room, you might not at first notice the elegant design of this cabinet, and the chalice hidden in the wood grain of the door. Dennis Sweeney, who constructed the cabinet, is a man who appreciates fine wood and the beauty found in wood grain, and it was the chalice design that inspired the cabinet. The door panel comes from a walnut tree that Dennis and Jon Volkwein removed from the front yard of a Peters Township native who thought that the tree was a nuisance. This cabinet was inspired by the tragic death of another Sunnyhill artist, Jo Winger Kushner, and was dedicated in her honor. Jo was a well-known Pittsburgh artist whose legacy to us is the etching of Sunnyhill that hangs over the fireplace in the dining room. Inside Dennis' cabinet you'll find the membership book and other membership supplies
